I use Microsoft Security Essentials and am very satisfied with it. MSE recently blocked a trojan, when an infected USB stick was inserted with no infection of the system. I work on Windows 7 x64 and MSE doesn't seem to slow down anything. When I use Spybot for an additional check, it only finds some cookies, not more. For a free AV solution MSE does an excellent job.
